What started as a wild idea from Manon to take the office caravan on a tour down south in her beloved Spain, resulted in a very inspiring trip visiting the WebSummit in Lisbon and a 3,5 week long coworking tour through rural Spain. Full of exciting experiences, encounters and learnings.
WebSummit Lisbon (7-9 nov)
We had the pleasure to exhibit at the WebSummit in Lisbon. With a spot at the Women in Tech lounge, this was a great location for ‘our women in tech’ themselves: Laura and Maartje from Vandebron. Goal was to introduce our office to an international audience of professionals. Partners Vandebron and Indeed interviewed >100 women daily about the WebSummit and the role sustainability plays within the world of tech. Our visit was received very well. We will be back at the next WebSummit in 2017, with a bigger fleet of caravans!
After the WebSummit in Lisbon, Manon and Amine took over in Barcelona, for the next part of the road trip.
Coworking tour through rural Spain (12 nov - 2 dec)
The tour through Spain was a collaboration with Pandorahub and Ecotechnomads. The aim of Pandorahub founder Diana is to bring life back into rural areas. With a small and changing group of people, we visited different locations in the countryside. Rural coworking locations, abandoned villages and (eco) communities. The team worked from the caravans at different locations, like the beach in Javéa and on a hill top next to Sunseed. Besides working, it was all about connecting with our local hosts and learning from them. We learned about block chain, herding goats, and everything in between. A great mix between technology and country side life.
Hereby a big thanks to our supporters: Seats2Meet, Seats4Silence, Pandorahub, Ecotechnomads, CamperExperience, and Vandebron! And of course our hosts at: Masia Castelló, San Mateu, Sun and Co, Sunseed, Molino de Guadalmesí, AlmaNatura and Las Indias.
